Whether you’re rotating tires, doing a brake job, oil change or other routine maintenance working on a overhead 2 post lift is safer and easier than ramps, jacks and jack stands not to mention quicker!

Overhead 2 post lift Lift Features:

  • NO DIESEL TRUCKS- When lifting 3/4 ton diesel and larger we recommend a 10k-11k 2 post lift due to the weight on the front two arms.

Garage Time Recommendation:

The Race Tools Direct 9,000 lb overhead 2 post lift is perfect for lifting your street cars and race cars alike!  Suitable for up to a 3/4 Ton pickup truck. Our low pad height of 4″ is ideal for the lowest cars.  See the ‘Specifications’ tab for complete details and dimensions.

9K Overhead 2 Post Lift Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-1/4″ thick, 3000 psi concrete
  • ~12′ 4″ ceiling clearance (12′ column plus room to tilt the column up)
  • 220V, 1PH, 20A breaker
    • Optional 110V Power Unit available for an additional fee.

    What are asymmetric arms?

    When lifting a car with asymmetric arms the front arms are at a 90 degree angle to the lift. This shifts most of the vehicle weight to the rear of the lift.  Approximately 30% in front of the column and 70% behind it.  To make this happen the front arm is shorter than the rear arm on Asymmetric style lifts.  When the lift is not in use  both arms will swing to the rear of the lift.   See the diagram below to see how they operate.
